I’m going to be very real here – this fortnight is a little tight. All my monthly and bi-monthly bills decided to be due on the same day, leaving me very very little wiggle room for food and fuel.

Luckily, I have the most amazing mother in the entire world who after a full days work, went grocery shopping and drove a half hour to deliver some food to me (seriously, she’s amazing!!). To which I found myself suddenly having the urge to eat all the food quickly to make sure none of it went to waste.

Which brought me to my next realization – whenever I’m at home, I will easily eat 4-6 meals a day. And these aren’t little snack sized meals or a handful of something to graze on. I’m talking full sized, probably enough food for 2 people per serving.

However when I go out to work I’m barely hungry at all. I could eat the tiniest amount of food and not want to eat more of it because I simply don’t have extra sitting around or it costs bucket loads to go get more.

So my goal for the next 2 weeks (which is going to be super annoying btw) is to measure and record what I eat and how much I eat. I do want to get fitter and lose weight, and get my body to where I want it to be. Realistically I can’t keep eating the amount I do. Plus, it’ll be good for me to distinguish behavioural patterns of when I go for that extra serving and break some unhealthy habits (we’ve gotten the frequency down but I still go for drive thru food so much).

In other news – I start my new role tomorrow! Still within the same company – so my past 18 months of knowledge isn’t wasted – but at completely new sites and I’m so excited to do something new.
